Firekeeper Forge on History Channel's Forged in Fire

Season 6, Episode 21. At the age of 20, I became one of the youngest professional blacksmiths to compete on The History Channel's blacksmithing competition, Forged in Fire.

I was presented with the opportunity to be on The History Channel's Forged In Fire. In my episode, we were tasked with replicating a knife carried by NASA astronauts.

They had to be light-weight, versatile, and tough. This challenge was right up my alley. As one who specializes in custom work, I was confident in making a blade to the exact specifications given and had no trouble doing so.

I was lucky enough to make it into the third round, where we were asked to make a spiked mace. I had never done anything like that before.

It was a fun challenge to make it in only the 35 hours given. Some of the biggest challenges were using my stick welder, not the easiest form of welding, and having a working torch. My torch did not work the way it should have, and I had to get creative with things that need controlled heat.

After many hard, long hours I was finally able to have a piece I was proud of and felt like it was worthy of winning.

Watch the episode to find out how it ended, and let me know what you thought of it!
